Job summary

Silgan Holdings is seeking a Mold/Tooling Engineer to manage quoting of new products, lead mold-building projects, and support the toolroom with engineering expertise. You will design, implement and debug tooling to maximize efficiency and reliability across production lines.

Responsibilities include project management for capital and schedules, reviewing mold designs, advising on material selection, and coordinating with internal teams and vendors to meet cost and quality goals.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or Industry experience.
• Injection Mold design and Molding experience (High Cavitation).
• Experience 5-10 years with a degree.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Effective communications skills with internal and external contacts.
• Must be motivated, analytical problem solver, able to work with minimum supervision.
• Knowledge and experience of CAD and/or Solid Works systems.
• Attention to detail and quality.

• Conducts or participates in reviews (e.g. Product design, mold design, automation design and readiness reviews) to help assure satisfaction of product goals.
• Interfaces with all internal departments, customers, and vendors to effectively accomplish projects and other goals.
• Contributes to the resolution of internal and external customer complaints as necessary and appropriate.
• When work in primary classification is not available, may perform other duties according to skill and availability.
