Job summary

AKG Verwaltungsgesellschaft mbH seeks a skilled mechanical engineer/technician for full-time tool design and development. You will design forming tools, dies, and fixtures, and produce production-ready drawings and process plans.

You will support quotes, feasibility analyses, and tool cost calculations, collaborating closely with Process Planning and manufacturing teams. Ideal candidates bring strong 3D CAD experience (Solid Edge preferred), proficiency in MS Office, and strong German and

Qualifications

A successfully completed technical degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent technician training.
Several years of professional experience in equipment design, progressive die/forming tools, and punching tools is advantageous.
In-depth knowledge of common 3D CAD systems; ideally practical experience with Solid Edge and 3D printing processes.
Proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

Development and design of forming tools, stamping/progressive dies, fixtures, and other equipment.
Independently creating design drawings, assembly diagrams, and process plans, as well as tool designs and production-ready drawings.
Supporting project management and sales in preparing quotes, feasibility analyses, and tool cost calculations.
Close collaboration with the Process Planning department.
Supporting series production in the event of malfunctions.
Assisting the manufacturing department with tool setups.
Preparing for investments in tools and fixtures, including the creation of specifications.
Managing the 3D printer.
