Job summary

Silgan Dispensing in Grandview, MO is seeking a Tooling Manager who owns mold condition, cavitation recovery, and the two-shift tool room and machine shop. You will drive a preventive maintenance program, write tooling knowledge into the plant, and ensure capacity without reliance on a single person.

Qualifications

• Journeyman toolmaker certification or engineering degree.
• Minimum ten years of multi-cavity injection mold tooling experience.
• Experience recovering cavitation and improving tool availability.
• Experience building a tool preventive maintenance program.
• Experience supervising a tool room across two shifts.

Responsibilities

• Own mold condition and cavitation across the tool asset base with a refurbishment plan and return-to-service dates.
• Oversee hot runner/ manifold diagnoses and spares strategy to avoid capacity losses.
• Lead CNC machining for spares, tooling mods and SMED readiness.
• Manage budgeting, cost reporting and knowledge capture to sustain plant capacity.
