Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, is seeking a Tooling Engineer in Nashua, NH to develop and document tooling and processes for new and existing products. You will work with product development, suppliers, and manufacturing to ensure tooling specs, cost, and validation are aligned with project goals.

The role involves DFMs, FMEAs, and continuous improvement tasks, requiring strong collaboration and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from a four-year university.
• Robotics and Controls minors or degrees are a plus.
• Proficient with Creo and SolidWorks; experience with automation, PLCs, machine vision, and electrical controls.
• Project management experience is a plus.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical people.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document assembly tooling for new/existing products from concept to validation.
• Develop and document assembly processes, spare parts lists, and maintenance plan.
• Define process steps, material handling, and layout requirements.
• Prepare equipment and systems specifications and scope of work.
• Collaborate with product development to explore enable technologies.
• Support supply chain definition from raw material to customer application.
• Work with IE team to model cycle times, efficiency and yields.
• Contribute to DFMs, FMEAs, and risk assessments with the product team.
• Define critical product/process parameters and documentation relationships.
