Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking an experienced manual machinist to craft and perfect custom tooling from start to finish, building high-quality aluminum molds and components in a modern manufacturing setting. You will join a supportive team, enjoy overtime opportunities, and access comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision.

The role offers a first shift (7 AM - 3:30 PM) with a salary range of $50,000–$54,000 per year, and a strong PTO program.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in tool repairs & modifications, fabrication with aluminum and carbon steel.
  • Able to read and understand blueprints.
  • Skilled in use of all machine shop equipment including lathe, milling machines, radial drill, aluminum and steel welding equipment, and various hand tools.
  • Must plan and follow the job through to completion, doing all necessary work.
  • Must work with equipment required for plumbing on tool/molds.

Responsibilities

  • Machine rough aluminum castings into finished production molds using standard manual shop equipment per technical blueprints.
  • Execute preventative maintenance, routine repairs, and custom modifications on aluminum and steel tooling.
  • Install, maintain, and test utility plumbing, fittings, and thermal control lines on molds.
  • Perform TIG welding on aluminum and steel to repair, patch, or rebuild tool surfaces.
  • Troubleshoot active mold and tooling defects directly on the press line to minimize production downtime.
  • Layout, plan, and fabricate custom jigs, fixtures, and shop items to support plant production.
  • Complete Work Orders, Tool Quality Reviews (TQRs), and PM documentation in the shop management system.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area in compliance with 5S standards and plant safety regulations.
