Job summary

Janco, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator on-site in Rollinsford, NH. This full-time, 1st shift role runs 7:00am–3:30pm, with pay between $24 and $28 per hour and benefits including Health, Dental, 401(k), PTO and Educational Reimbursement.

The job requires at least 3 years in a manufacturing tool room, thermoforming/CNC tooling experience, and knowledge of ISO 13485 and FDA-regulated environments. English fluency is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing tool room.
• Experience with thermoforming, injection molding, and stamping designs preferred.
• Experience with CNC programming (G-code, Mastercam) or CNC mills/wire EDMs preferred.
• Experience with ISO 13485, FDA-regulated, or cleanroom environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Tooling maintenance and repair: clean, polish, assemble, and repair CNC molds, heated plates, plug assists, and trim tools.
• Manual machining: operate Bridgeport mills, lathes, grinders to modify or fabricate tooling components.
• Troubleshooting: diagnose defects and implement tooling fixes with production team.
• Quality and compliance: inspect tolerances using micrometers, calipers, indicators per ISO 13485.
• Documentation: maintain maintenance logs for regulatory audit readiness.
• Perform and complete other tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Tooling Maintenance & Repair: clean, polish, assemble, and repair CNC machined aluminum thermoforming molds, heated plates, plug assists, and high-precision trim tools.
• Manual Machining: safely and accurately operate manual tool room equipment (Bridgeport mills, lathes, surface grinders) to modify, repair, or fabricate tooling components.
• Troubleshooting: partner with the production team to diagnose forming or trimming defects (thinning, webbing, poor cuts) and implement fast, effective tooling fixes.
• Quality & Compliance: inspect and verify tooling tolerances using micrometers, calipers, and indicators to ensure strict compliance with ISO 13485 regulations and medical standards.
• Documentation: Keep meticulous records of tool maintenance, component changes, and preventive maintenance logs for regulatory audit readiness.
• Perform and complete other tasks as assigned.

  Read blueprints & diagrams: ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning, and tolerance (GD&T), and assembly schematics.
  

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand long periods of time and walk continuously through assigned areas.
  
• Must be able to lift up to 45lbs.
• Prolonged periods sitting at desk and working on a computer.
• Must have full range of motion, bending, reaching, and lifting.

Education & Experience Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing tool room. Preferably working with thermoforming, injection molding, and stamping designs.
• Deep understanding of aluminum mold care and match-metal trim alignment preferred.
• Experience with CNC programming (G-code, Mastercam) or operating CNC mills/wire EDMs to perform minor tool modifications preferred.
• Experience working with ISO 13485, FDA-regulated, or cleanroom manufacturing environment preferred.
