Job summary

DynaEnergetics is seeking a hands-on Tool Maintenance Technician in Midland, TX, to handle disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and reassembly of wireline setting tools for reliable field operation.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to follow procedures, with 0–2 years of related experience preferred. Lifting up to 50 pounds is expected, and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, with 0–2 years of related experience.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools.
• Ability to safely disassemble and reassemble mechanical equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to performing work correctly.
• Ability to follow written procedures, work instructions, and assembly specifications.
• Ability to lift and handle tools, components, and equipment associated with wireline operations.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble wireline setting tools after field use.
• Thoroughly clean tool components and remove grease, debris, sand, residue, and other contaminants.
• Inspect components for wear, damage, corrosion, or other conditions that may affect tool performance.
• Replace O-rings, seals, fasteners, and other service components as required.
• Lubricate and prepare components according to established procedures.
• Reassemble wireline setting tools to the proper specifications.
• Verify tools are correctly assembled and ready for shipping.
• Maintain accurate records of tool maintenance, inspections, and parts replaced.
• Identify damaged or questionable components and report them to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain an organized inventory of replacement parts, seals, O-rings, and consumable materials.
• Keep the tool maintenance and work area clean, safe, and organized.
• Properly use and maintain hand tools, power tools, cleaning equipment, and measuring devices.
• Follow company procedures, quality requirements, and applicable safety practices.
• Assist with preparing and staging setting tools and related equipment for upcoming shipments.
• Perform other duties as assigned
• May be required to work overtime, holidays and weekends.
