Job summary

Employ Partners is seeking a Tool Room Technician I to support Canton, GA operations. You will assist in repair, preventive maintenance, and setup of tooling, dies, and fixtures, while using precision measuring tools to ensure accuracy.

The role involves reading blueprints and troubleshooting mechanical issues, with opportunities to fabricate tooling components and contribute to continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Able to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, tool room, maintenance, machining, or automotive environment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent attendance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Assist with repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and modification of tooling, dies, molds, fixtures, and production equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Disassemble, inspect, clean, repair, and reassemble tooling components.
• Utilize calipers, micrometers, gauges, and indicators for measurements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
• Operate grinders, drill presses, lathes, mills, and other machining equipment.
• Support die changes, tooling setups, and equipment adjustments.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and identify root causes of equipment failures.
• Fabricate or modify tooling components to improve performance and tool life.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Ensure all work aligns with quality standards and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment using 5S principles.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams.
