Job summary

Mayzon in Delaware seeks an experienced maintenance technician to perform routine repairs, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of injection molds, dies, jigs, fixtures, gaugers, and hand tools. You will set up and operate Bridgeport machines, lathes, and surface grinders, inspect for defects, and document findings, while supporting production with equipment repairs and upkeep.

Qualifications

• Experience with routine maintenance of tooling and molds.
• Ability to read and interpret part drawings and tolerances.
• Knowledge of precision measuring instruments and shop math.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance of all tools.
• Set up and run Bridgeport’s, lathes, and surface grinders.
• Clean tool surfaces with approved products.
• Inspect for and document defects or damage.
• Use the Cold Jet tool cleaning system when applicable.
• Support production in repairing and maintaining equipment.
• Clear all waste and cleaning products when complete.
• Mop grease, oil, and dirt from machine surfaces.
• Maintain housekeeping of the tool and die area.
• Order materials for PM tasks.
• Assist with cleaning/repairing molds off the press.

Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

Perform routine repairs, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of injection molds, dies, jigs, fixtures, gaugers, and hand tools

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform preventive maintenance of all tools.
• Set up and run Bridgeport’s, lathers, and surface grinders
• Clean the tool surfaces with the approved products.
• Knowledge of micrometers, calipers, indicators, optical comparators, ring and thread gauges.
• Inspect for, and document, any defects or damage identified.
• Use the Cold Jet tool cleaning system when applicable
• Support production departments in repairing, adjusting and maintaining all forms of equipment
• Clear all waste and cleaning products when complete
• Mope any grease, oil, dirt, etc. generated during the PM from machine surfaces
• Perform housekeeping of the tool and die area
• Order necessary materials to perform the assigned PM's
• Assist others in the cleaning/ repairing of molds out of the press

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:

• Demonstrated ability to write legibly, to maintain records, and follow oral and written instructions.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safely precautions.
• Knowledge of advanced shop mathematics, drawings for part specifications, charts, tables, and all varieties of precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to communicate in English effectively, both orally and in writing.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels.
• Understanding of basic computer programs.
• Comfortable in the use of walkie sand sit down forklift. Training to be provided if necessary.
• Able to lift up to 50lbs frequently. Physically capable lo assist with the moving and handling of tooling components
