Job description

Tool Room Specialist/CAM Programmer (Finance)

The Tool Room Specialist will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the company's safety, environmental, and personal growth standards. The role requires experience in machining tasks within the tool room and participation in tool, fixture, and other tool-making activities under direct supervision. Proficiency in Mastercam software and programming is essential.

Responsibilities:
  1. Safety: Demonstrate awareness of safety requirements in assigned work areas and wear appropriate PPE. Operate all machines with guards/shields in place.
  2. Quality: Complete raw material inspection and preparation for tool room use. Inspect finished parts for compliance with drawings using appropriate measurement tools. Achieve dimensional requirements with minimal rework, working independently.
  3. Production: Operate manual and CNC machine groups independently, including setups and operation cycles. Complete work within the estimated hours set by the supervisor.
  4. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvements through creative problem solving for tools and fixtures. Participate in the maintenance of machine groups according to the TPM plan.
  5. Training: Accept training and coaching from supervision.
  6. Environment: Maintain environmentally appropriate workplace habits, including 5S practices.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum of 3 years of machining and programming experience or equivalent training.
  2. High School Diploma/GED or international equivalent.
  3. Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical drawings and perform basic mathematical evaluations.
  4. Knowledge of tools, fixtures, CNC and manual machine setup and operation.
  5. Experience in CNC programming is highly valued.
  6. Proficiency in handling complex machine setup tasks and reading blueprints, including tolerances and inspection standards.
  7. Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
  8. Special Process Qualifications (e.g., welding, machining, toolmaking) as required.
  9. Proficiency in English; knowledge of Spanish, Polish, or Arabic is beneficial.
