Job summary

Cummins is seeking a Tool Maker for the 3rd shift at the Morristown, TN facility. You will operate tool room equipment, fabricate components, and read part drawings with limited guidance to support production and safety standards.

You will apply your knowledge of CNC machines, blueprints, and precision measurement tools while maintaining a proactive safety culture and contributing to continuous improvement across the operation.

Qualifications

• Experience with CNC machines and reading blueprints.
• Ability to read micrometers, calipers or similar measurement devices.
• Willing to work across tool room areas including machining and die polish.
• Education to meet regulatory requirements; export controls/licensing may apply.

Responsibilities

• Protect people and the environment by stopping unsafe work and reporting hazards.
• Operate tool room equipment and fabricate components to support production.
• Perform inspections and document maintenance activities to high standards.
• Identify bottlenecks and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe work area and support TPM initiatives.
