Job summary

Quanex seeks a Tool Room Machinist in Owatonna, Minnesota. You will build, rebuild, repair, and modify die cast molds and tooling to improve production speed and quality.

First shift, Tue–Fri 5am–3:30pm, starting rate $32.00/$33.92 per hour plus $2.50 shift differential. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of four years’ experience in mold/stamping tool repairs.

Responsibilities

• Review specifications, interpret drawings and CAD graphics to determine construction requirements of each tool to be repaired.
• Make changes and discuss deviations or errors on prints or CAD information with engineering before proceeding.
• Plan, layout, and perform bench and machine operations to construct/alter molds and tooling to production needs.
• Propose tolerance or tooling changes to reduce costs or improve quality.
• Coordinate with different teams to ensure seamless operations.

Quanex is looking for a Tool Room Machinist to join our team located in Owatonna, Minnesota. In this role you are responsible for building, rebuilding, repairing, and modifying die cast molds, trim dies, and other tooling and machinery in a manner which will increase the speed and quality of production. This position is for 1st shift; schedule is Tuesday through Friday 5am to 3:30pm. The starting hourly rate for this position is $32.00/$33.92 per hour., plus a shift differential of $2.50 per hour.

What Success Looks Like
