Job summary

Putnam County Community Improvment Corporation in Columbus, OH, seeks a Tool Room Manager to coordinate Tool Room team members including Machinists, Apprentices, and Die Makers, ensuring tooling programs meet quality and production demands.

The role provides engineering with operational support to drive continuous improvement in tool prove out, tooling efficiency, and overall cost savings related to production and manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Hands-on tooling and dies experience preferred (apprentice program or 8 years).
• Experience in engineering/administrative field and data compilation.

Responsibilities

• Assigns authority and responsibility for positions reporting to the Tool Room Area Manager.
• Selects, develops, motivates, and trains qualified team members to ensure quality of technical goals.
• Establishes processes for maintaining tool room tooling, equipment quality and efficiency, and preventive maintenance.
