Job summary

Turner Industries Group in Decatur, AL is seeking a Tool Room Attendant to receive, store, and distribute tools and materials. This non-exempt role reports to the Foreman and follows site procedures to maintain inventory and ensure safety.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, 1–3 years of tool-handling experience, knowledge of basic hand tools, and a commitment to safety and regulatory requirements on site.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of experience in the specified skill preferred.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and safety equipment required.
• Knowledge of Turner Industries color codes for power tools, rigging, and safety equipment.
• Post offer drug/alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and policy acceptance.
• Comply with safety requirements at job sites.
• Must not pose a direct health or safety threat.

Responsibilities

• Read and sign off on JSA prior to starting shift.
• Store, remove, load, and unload materials and tools from storage bins, pallets, and vehicles.
• Operate manual or mechanical devices and stock inventory shelves.
• Record material items received or distributed; maintain inventory records.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area; perform supervisor-directed tasks.
