Job summary

The Systems Group is seeking a Tool Room Attendant for our Crawfordsville, IN location. The role centers on managing tool check-in/check-out, keeping accurate records, and ensuring safe, organized tool rooms in a high-demand industrial setting.

You will maintain tool inventories, coordinate repairs, and support site teams with timely tool access while adhering to safety policies and company expectations. This temporary assignment supports our national operations and involves full-day work for 12

Qualifications

• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Familiarity with inventory systems and record-keeping.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift and move tools and equipment.
• Basic computer skills for records and communication.
• Previous Tool Room Attendant experience preferred.
• OSHA-approved Met-Guard boots required.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining accurate records of tools and equipment, including tracking check-in/check-out, monitoring usage, and identifying items needing repair or replacement.
• Distributing tools and equipment to authorized personnel and ensuring proper return procedures are followed.
• Performing routine maintenance, such as cleaning, lubricating, and minor repairs, and coordinating more extensive repairs with qualified technicians.
• Ensuring the tool room is clean, organized, and safe, adhering to safety regulations and company policies.
• Communicating effectively with users, vendors, and other staff regarding tool availability, maintenance schedules, and other related matters.

Location: Nucor Shutdown – Crawfordsville, Indiana

Pay: $26/Hour $130/Day Per Diem

Hours: 12 Hours/Day Duration of 13 Days
