Job summary

Senior Flexonics Pathway in Texas is seeking an Inventory Clerk to receive, store, issue and track tools, supplies and equipment. You will help maintain stock levels and ensure accurate records for audits and operations.

Responsibilities include placing restock orders, monitoring usage trends, and keeping the tool room organized and secure. The role requires physical stamina, basic computer skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Proficient computer and software skills plus a working knowledge of M2M.
  • Sufficient physical strength and agility to lift 30-pound cartons repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
  • Visual acuity to read packing slips and maintain inventory records.
  • Tact and human relations skills when dealing with staff, management and sales.
  • Basic MS Access, Excel, and keyboarding skills.
  • Ability to perform calculations using a calculator and understand standard decimal/fraction systems.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, able to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Inspects tools/equipment for defects and reports damage to management.
  • Identifies slow-moving items and arranges removal of obsolete supplies with approval.

JOB SUMMARY:

Receive, store, issue and inventory supplies, hand tools, weld wire, materials and equipment; maintain minimum quantities of stock items at all times; by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Issues supplies, tools and equipment to workers and maintain records of items issued and returned.
  2. Checks weld wire in/out and monitors log for accuracy and completeness.
  3. Receives, unpacks and stores incoming supplies, tools and equipment. Verifies actual quantities of items listed on packing slip.
  4. Places restocking orders weekly to maintain minimum inventory levels.
  5. Monitors trends in part usage and works with Purchasing to optimize re-order points for ready made items such as cover clips.
  6. Keeps Tool Room secure and storage cabinets locked.
  7. Prepares periodic inventory or maintains perpetual inventory of tools and equipment. Marks and Identifies tools and equipment.
  8. Maintains Tool Room in a clean and orderly manner.
  9. Make product tags in accordance with job specifications.
  10. Inspects tools and equipment for defects and wear, reports damage to manager.
  11. Identifies and reports slow moving supplies and tools and, with approval arranges for removal of obsolete supplies and tools.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Operate forklift truck on an as needed basis.
  2. Enters orders into M2M.
  3. Other duties as assigned.
PERFORMANCE MEASURMENT:
  1. Weld wire errors, stock-outs, tool room organization and cleanliness, errors/readiness with tags, purchasing cost.
Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Proficient computer and software skills plus a working knowledge of M2M.
  • Sufficient physical strength and agility to pack, unpack and lift cartons weighing 30 pounds repetitively. Able to be on feet for extended periods of time.
  • Visual acuity sufficient to read packing slips, labels and maintain inventory records.
  • Tact and human relations skills in dealing with employees, management and sales personnel.
  • Basic MS Access, Excel, and keyboarding skills
  • Perform mathematical calculations using a calculator and a good understanding of the American standard decimal and fraction system
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, able to multi-task and adjust to changing priorities.
