Job summary

CCI Industrial Services LLC is seeking a tool room and maintenance storeroom technician to support our on-site operations. The role requires experience issuing, receiving, inspecting, storing, and tracking tools and equipment, with strong inventory control and safety awareness.

This position operates on a construction site with exposure to hazards and the need to read procedures, manuals, and inventory documentation. A pre-employment drug test and background check may be required.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a tool room, warehouse, maintenance storeroom, inventory control, industrial maintenance, or related position.
  • Experience issuing, receiving, inspecting, storing, and tracking tools and equipment.
  • Ability to determine when tools or equipment should be removed from service, repaired, calibrated, or replaced.
  • Ability to read and understand written procedures, equipment manuals, safety instructions, and inventory documentation.

Job description

    • Maintain compliance with the required HSE Training.
    • Taking necessary action when behaviors or conditions around you may be unsafe.
    • Reporting and addressing all potential safety concerns/incidents/issues promptly and willingly participate and assist in any investigation that may relate to a safety incident.
    • Performs work in strict compliance with permitting requirements, Alaska Safety Handbook (ASH) Standards and other compliance-oriented directives.
    • Participating in safety meetings, working safely, and maintaining a safe work environment as an employee and representative of CCI Industrial Services.
    • Document and record any injury or near miss incident that may occur while you are working.
    • Demonstrate and promote safe work practices by participating in JSA reviews, pre-job walkdowns and safety START card preparations covering work activities and materials required by the company and the client.
    • Promote and participate in Safety Programs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, industrial tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
  • Knowledge of tool inspection, cleaning, maintenance, and condition assessment.
  • Knowledge of proper handling and storage of lubricants, chemicals, batteries, and other shop materials, as applicable.
  • Strong inventory and organizational skills.
  • Ability to issue, receive, inspect, and properly store tools and equipment.
  • Ability to inspect tools for damage, wear, missing components, and proper operation.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication with the maintenance organization.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in a tool room, warehouse, maintenance storeroom, inventory control, industrial maintenance, or related position.
  • Experience issuing, receiving, inspecting, storing, and tracking tools and equipment.
  • Ability to determine when tools or equipment should be removed from service, repaired, calibrated, or replaced.
  • Ability to read and understand written procedures, equipment manuals, safety instructions, and inventory documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in a tool room, maintenance storeroom, warehouse, inventory-control, or industrial maintenance environment.
  • Previous experience in a power plant, utility, refinery, manufacturing facility, or other heavy-industrial operation.
  • Experience supporting planned outages, major maintenance activities, and emergency repairs.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.

Position may involve exposure to extremely hostile weather conditions at times while working outdoors. This position may involve working with potentially hazardous materials and waste.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. A pre-hire post offer Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) will be conducted to determine an employee’s ability to perform to the job standard. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • MOBILITY: Must be able to access all controls and all parts of machinery for service. Must be able to push/pull 50 pounds for 20 feet.
  • HEARING: Must be able to hear audible safety alarms.
  • VISUAL ACUITY: Must be adequate to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner and take hand signals from ground man or flag man.
  • LIFTING: Must be able to routinely lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist, 50 pounds from wait level to shoulder height and carry 50 pounds for 20 feet.
  • RANGE OF MOTION: An objective range of motion measurements will be conducted and recorded using a five position and rapid exchange grip strength test during the pre-hire/post offer FCE.
