Job summary

GOEBEL FIXTURE COMPANY in Minnesota is looking for an entry-level Mold Technician to join our Tool Room team. You will perform mold cleaning, inspection, and preventative maintenance on production molds while training into mold repair and machining responsibilities.

Responsibilities include tear-down and reassembly for production runs, basic tooling repairs, fixture preparation, and maintaining 5S-compliant work areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in machine tool technology, tool & die, mold making, or similar mechanical field preferred, but not required.
• Prior manufacturing, machining, mechanical, or maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to read basic prints and use measuring tools.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machining and tooling processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform mold cleaning, inspection, and preventative maintenance on production molds.
• Assist with mold tear-down, reassembly, and preparation for production runs.
• Support the Tool Room team with basic tooling repairs and maintenance activities.
• Assist with fixture preparation and simple machining tasks as skills develop.

• Learn and develop understanding of injection molding tooling, mold construction, and machining processes.
• Assist experienced toolmakers with mold repair, modifications, and new tooling projects as training progresses.

Position Overview

Perform mold cleaning, preventative maintenance, and basic tool room support activities while training into mold repair and machining responsibilities. This role supports the Tool Room team by maintaining molds, assisting with tooling projects, and learning toolmaking and machining skills over time.
