Job summary

Stabil Drill, a Superior Energy Services Company, is seeking a Full-Time Tool Repair Technician for our Houston, TX team. You will dismantle, repair and reassemble drilling tools, maintain shop cleanliness and assist the Supervisor as needed.

The ideal candidate has Oil & gas knowledge, can follow written and oral instructions with minimal supervision, and communicates clearly while maintaining accurate records. We offer competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience dismantling, repairing and reassembling drilling tools.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions with minimal supervision.
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed instructions.
• Good communication and troubleshooting abilities.
• Accurate completion and maintenance of reports/records.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle, repair and reassemble drilling tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Dismantle, repair and reassemble drilling tools.
• Responsible for the cleanliness, maintenance and proper disposal of debris on property.
• Assist the Supervisor in all aspects of the job.
• Assemble and set up new equipment.
• Ensure awareness of, and compliance with, relevant company/customer QHSE requirements.
• Perform other duties as required by Supervisor.

Knowledge/Skills/abilities

• Current knowledge of equipment, materials, and practices used in the oil/gas industry.
• Complete tasks and follow oral and written instructions with minimal supervision.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Good communication and troubleshooting skills.
• Accurately complete/maintain necessary reports/records in a timely and legible manner, in accordance with applicable procedures and/or work order.
