Job summary

Anchor Packaging, a Georgia Pacific company, is seeking a Tool Prep Tech at the Jonesboro, AR facility. The role focuses on setting up and operating conventional and special purpose machines to clean production tooling.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, maintaining tooling, and performing preventative maintenance. Collaboration with supervisors and engineers is required to resolve tooling issues and ensure safe operations.

Qualifications

• Must have experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Must have experience using micrometer, vernier calipers, ice cleaning equipment, drill press and other production tools.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, and manuals
• Maintain and secure work tools
• Clean and maintain facility production tooling
• Clean and maintain a safe work area
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on tooling
• Troubleshoot and recognize damage on tooling
• Use micrometers, vernier calipers, ice cleaning equipment, drill press and other production tools
• Collaborate with Supervisors, engineers, and production personnel to resolve tool cleaning issues
• Develop specs from a general description and sketch part to be fabricated
