Job summary

Anchor Packaging, a Georgia Pacific company, is seeking a Tool Prep Tech at the Jonesboro, AR facility to set up and operate conventional and special purpose machines to clean production tooling.

Shifts available: Monday-Friday 6:45am to 2:45pm. Pay ranges from $21.00 to $23.60 per hour. You will read blueprints, maintain tooling, perform preventative maintenance, use micrometers and calipers, and collaborate with supervisors to resolve tool-cleaning problems.

Qualifications

• Experience using micrometers, vernier calipers, ice cleaning equipment, drill press and other production tools.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, and manuals
• Maintain and secure work tools
• Clean and maintain facility production tooling
• Clean and maintain a safe work area
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on tooling
• Troubleshoot and recognize damage on tooling
• Use a micrometer, vernier calipers, ice cleaning equipment, drill press and other production tools
• Work with Supervisors, engineers, production personnel, programmers or others to resolve tool cleaning problems
• Develop specs from a general description and draw a sketch of the part to be fabricated
