Job summary

Rosendin is looking for a Tool Manager I to track tools and related items in the warehouse and field using Rosendin tracking software. The role requires ensuring staff readiness, coordinating shipments, and maintaining tool integrity to support project schedules.

You will collaborate with yard and field teams, handle tool purchases, and ensure accuracy in tool records. This position emphasizes safety, reliability, and timely delivery of tools to site personnel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Combination of education, training and relevant experience may be accepted.
• General understanding of tool mechanics, repair and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Tool Department is staffed with qualified personnel.
• Manage shipping and receiving of items and returns.
• Coordinate with Yard Manager to distribute items to field or employees.
• Maintain and ensure tools are in safe working order.
• Purchase and input tools into Rosendin tracking software.

YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:

The Tool Manager I is responsible for tracking all tools and tool related items that will be in the warehouse and in the field using Rosendin approved tracking software.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Assure Tool Department operations is staffed with qualified personnel.

• Manage the shipping and receiving of items that come in and are being returned.

• Coordinate with Yard Manager to help distribute the items to the field, or employee, they need to be taken to, or returned from.

• Will be responsible for all tool maintenance and to make sure they are in proper and safe working order.

• Will be responsible for purchasing and identifying tools to input in Rosendin approved tracking software.

• The duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing and other duties will be assigned based on the position’s role within the business unit.

WHAT YOU BRING TO US:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Can be a combination of education, training, and relevant experience

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

• General understanding of tool mechanics, repair, and maintenance

• Proficient understanding of the requirements of projects and the need to deliver tools on time and in working order to maintain project schedule

• Proficient knowledge of techniques for preventing theft

• Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle preferred

• Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary

• Work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude

• Oral and written communication skills as required for the position

• Self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player

• Interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• General work environment – sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning

• Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite.
