Job summary

MW Components, Inc. is seeking a Tool Maker/Machinist to work from engineering drawings, lay out designs on raw materials, and cut to size with manual and power tools. The role requires independence on projects and attention to tooling issues to aid production.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of Tool Maker/Machinist experience, ability to read engineering drawings, strong math skills, and a metal trades certification. Safety and quality are emphasized across duties.

Qualifications

Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work from engineering drawings to lay out the design on the raw material then cut it to size and shape using manually controlled machine tools (such as lathes, milling machines, grinding machines, and jig grinders), power tools (such as die grinders and rotary tools), and hand tools (such as files and honing stones). Will work independently on projects.
• Assist production by communicating tooling issues
• Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing results with accuracy and timeliness.
• May be called upon to assist in other duties as needed to ensure quality level of facility activities.
• Responsible for all customer specific requirements where applicable, including those referenced in Quality manuals.
• Any/all other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
