Job summary

Toyota Boshoku America is seeking a Tool & Die Technician to support stamping operations at the Jackson, TN plant. You will repair, maintain, and optimize progressive and transfer dies, read blueprints, and use MasterCam/SolidWorks/AutoCAD as needed.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years welding experience, robust problem solving, and the ability to work shifts with potential overtime. This role emphasizes TPS methods and safe, precise tooling work.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years welding experience.
• CAD/CNC programming experience is a plus (MasterCam, CAD, CNC).
• Reading blueprints and technical drawings confidently.

Responsibilities

• Support production to ensure tools are ready for production.
• Repair and improve stamping dies/fixtures/weld cells.
• Use manual tools to repair and maintain stamping dies and fixtures.
• Operate surface grinders to complete tasks.
• Measure and adjust dies with shims for proper timing.
• Move dies using a crane and ensure safe handling.
• Troubleshoot quality issues and adjust dies accordingly.
• Verify work in spotting press for accuracy.
• Complete predictive PMs on dies and tools.
• Collaborate with Journeyman tool & die makers on tasks.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and document processes.
• Read and interpret technical drawings/blueprints.
