Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Tool & Die Specialist for the 2nd shift to assist in commissioning, maintenance, and repair of injection molding, die-casting, and stamping tools. You will bridge production and maintenance, ensuring quality and efficiency through expert mold handling.

The role emphasizes hands-on tool maintenance, welding, CNC machining, and collaboration with engineering teams to reduce defects and downtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 3+ years of hands-on technician experience with tool maintenance and/or repair with plastic injection molds.
• Preferred: welding and machining experience, and experience with CNC tooling.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and modify molds for plastic injection and die casting.
• Disassemble/assemble molds safely and efficiently.
• Repair cores, cavities, and other components.
• Perform hand work on details, lifters, slides, and cavities.
• Support production and maintenance with troubleshooting.
• Create and maintain mold spare parts lists.
• Collaborate with design/ process engineering on tooling changes.
