Job summary

Infinity Staffing Professionals, LLC is seeking a Tool and Die Repair Technician to support metal stamping operations by maintaining, repairing, and modifying dies, tooling, and related equipment. This role involves troubleshooting tooling issues, performing repairs, and ensuring tooling operates efficiently to maintain high production quality and uptime.

You will follow safety rules, read blueprints and GD&T, and use precision measurement tools like calipers and micrometers.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Tool and Die certification preferred.
• Minimum four years of related experience or completion of an approved trade school program.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T.
• Experience using precision measurement tools and machinist equipment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety, environmental, and OSHA regulations during duties.
• Troubleshoot and repair stamping dies in press or toolroom.
• Analyze specs and layout metal stock for tooling repairs or mods.
• Set up and operate machine tools to repair dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures.
• Assemble and fit parts to build, repair, or modify tooling.
• Perform welding operations (TIG/MIG) when repairing tool steel components.
• Spot and polish die details to ensure proper nesting and reduce wear.
• Verify dimensions using calipers, micrometers, gauge blocks, dial indicators.
• Interpret blueprints, GD&T specs, sketches, and models.
• Maintain communication with production and maintenance teams.
