Sigma Engineered Solutions in the United States is seeking a Tool & Die Maker to construct, modify, and condition multi-station dies. You will apply tool and die design, machining, layout, and inspection to produce precise tooling and parts.

Responsibilities include setting up dies, operating lathes, mills, and grinders, verifying dimensions, and mentoring apprentices. The day shift is Monday–Thursday, 5:00am–3:00pm.

Qualifikationen

• Completion of a state-recognized Tool & Die Maker Apprenticeship (Typically 8,000 hours of on-the-job training + 576 hours of related classroom instruction.)
• Tool & Die Maker Journeyman Certification / Paper
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
• Proficiency with machining and precision measurement tools. Examples: lathes, mills, grinders, micrometers, height gauges, comparators, indicators.

Aufgaben

• Layout and planning: lay out work assignments from prints and rough sketches.
• Measurement, marking & calculation: establish reference points and measure stock with precision.
• Machining operations: set up machines and operate lathes, mills, grinders to machine parts.
• Assembly, fitting & finishing: assemble components and verify dimensions and alignment.
• Die setup, testing & inspection: set dies, perform tests and inspect stamped parts.
• Troubleshooting & corrective adjustments: analyze and fix tool malfunctions and deviations.
• Tooling & design improvement: propose design improvements to enhance life and quality.
