Job summary

Greer Stop Nut in Nashville, TN is seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker for 1st shift, starting at 5:00 AM, Monday through Friday. You will work with production and engineering to troubleshoot and develop tooling components used in aerospace-related processes.

The role requires 5+ years using conventional lathes, mills and EDM equipment, with a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to solve problems quickly. Overtime opportunities are available on select Saturdays.

Qualifications

5+ years of conventional Tool & Die experience.
Experience with lathes, mills, and EDM equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Production and Engineering on problem solving and R&D initiatives.
Identify or analyze defective die or machine components and indicate corrective actions.
Operate and set up machines such as manual mills, grinders, lathes, EDMs, and polishing equipment to produce tooling components.
Fabricate, machine, and install punches, dies, fixtures, etc. used on presses and tapping machines.
Perform preventive maintenance on dies, shop, and production equipment.
Work safely under PPE and other safety guidelines.
Complete other duties as assigned.
