Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a hands-on Tool and Die Maker for a well-established Champaign manufacturer. The role focuses on keeping stamping dies running safely through preventive maintenance, precision repairs, and rapid troubleshooting during production breakdowns.

You will read prints, perform TIG/MIG/ARC welding, work with manual mills, lathes, grinders, and assist with die setups.

Qualifications

• Hands-on tool and die experience with stamping dies or related equipment.
• Strong manual machining skills with ability to read technical prints.
• Welding using TIG, MIG, ARC; heat-treating and nitrogen spring experience valuable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair stamping dies and related equipment.
• Respond to production breakdowns and complete repairs quickly.
• Machine precision repair details using manual mills, lathes, grinders, drill presses, and saws.
• Read technical prints and verify work with precision measuring tools.
• Use 2-axis and 3-axis CNC mill functions when needed.
• Perform TIG, MIG, and ARC welding and basic heat-treating.
• Assist die setups and repairs inside presses; operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
