Job summary

Aptiv is seeking a skilled Tool & Die Maker for our Warren, OH manufacturing operations, within the Signal & Power Solutions segment. This role focuses on precision tooling, die maintenance, and flawless execution of blueprints to support high-volume production.

The candidate should have an apprentice certificate and substantial hands-on experience in tool and die making, with ability to work varied shifts and weekends as required. Aptiv offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

State approved apprentice certificate and 8 years or 16,000 hours experience as a tool & die maker.
Documented work history.
Ability to work any shift, including weekends.
References upon request.

Responsibilities

Troubleshooting – determining causes of operating errors and resolution.
Verify dimensions, alignments and clearances of finished parts using calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and dial indicators.
Set up and operate lathes, milling machines and grinders.
Lift, position and secure machined parts on surface plates or worktables using hoists, vises, and angle plates.
Fit and assemble parts to make repairs.
Maintain die and molds.
Read blueprints and technical drawings.
