Job summary

Masterack in Social Circle, GA is seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker to build, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot dies and production tooling in a manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with stamping/forming dies, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and precision tooling, plus ability to read drawings and work to tight tolerances.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on Tool & Die Maker experience.
• Direct experience building, repairing, maintaining, or troubleshooting production dies/tooling.
• Experience with metal stamping or forming dies preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, tooling drawings, and dimensional specifications.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers.

Responsibilities

• Build, repair, modify, and maintain dies, tooling, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
• Troubleshoot production dies and tooling to identify wear, damage, alignment issues, and other failures.
• Disassemble, inspect, repair, fit, and reassemble dies and tooling.
• Perform preventive maintenance on production dies and tooling.
• Read and interpret tooling drawings, blueprints, engineering drawings, and CAD prints.
• Machine replacement or repair components using mills, lathes, surface grinders, CNC equipment, and other tool-room machinery.
• Fit and assemble tooling components to tight dimensional tolerances.
• Use micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
• Support die tryouts, adjustments, troubleshooting, and production improvements.
• Work with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime caused by tooling issues.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
