Job summary

Kapco Metal Stamping in Osceola, WI is seeking a skilled Tool & Die Maker to design, build, and repair dies, jigs, and fixtures on the first shift. You’ll work from blueprints, set up tools, and verify tolerances to meet print specifications.

Qualifications

• Requires a two-year trade school program, or equivalent.
• Three to five years previous experience in building new metal stamping and progressive dies required.

Responsibilities

• Performs skilled duties in developing and building dies, jigs, fixtures, etc.
• Building new and repairing of existing dies, consisting of progressive dies, fixtures, etc.
• Works from blueprints and sketches to create or modify prototypes, tools, dies, jigs, fixtures and molds.
• Calculates the dimensions and tolerances required to set up the machine tools.
• Operates lathes, grinders, milling and boring machines to produce tools.
• Verifies that quality and print specifications are met.
• Other duties as assigned.
