Located in Gastonia, Daimler Truck North America seeks a skilled Tool & Die Maker to operate all Tool & Die equipment and contribute to process improvements with a careful, numbers-driven approach.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 8 years of practical Tool & Die experience, plus ability to set up and operate tooling, read blueprints with AutoCAD, and run mills, lathes, surface grinders and CNC equipment.

Qualificações

• Ability to set-up and operate Tool & Die equipment
• Reading blueprints with AutoCAD to map die components

Responsabilidades

• Maintain, repair and build dies, jigs, fixtures and detailed tooling components
• Install and repair die tooling, working with progressive stamping presses
• Troubleshoot probable causes of defective parts pertaining to tool & die repairs
• Use root-cause failure analysis to make improvements
