Job summary

Cadence Inc. is seeking a Tool & Die Maker II in Deland, FL to maintain high-speed stamping dies and fixtures. You will perform bench, machine, and finishing operations and help drive improvements in die performance while mentoring junior staff.

You’ll be part of a high-performing technical team in a manufacturing environment that values precision, safety, and continuous learning. The role reports to the Operations Manager and follows a Monday–Friday schedule with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a state sponsored Tool & Die or Mold Maker apprenticeship program or equivalent industry experience.
• 5+ years of related experience in tooling manufacturing and CNC programming with CAD experience (Solid Works).
• Wire EDM and Esprit programming experience a plus.
• Soldering, brazing, and welding a plus.
• Fork truck certification (training provided) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, layout, and execute die maintenance work with minimal supervision.
• Modify and maintain complex injection moldings and fixtures to optimize performance.
• Operate and set up all Tool Room equipment and machinery.
• Perform advanced machine set‑ups that may require tool modifications.
• Monitor and inspect die performance and quality.
• Instruct and mentor other Toolmakers, Machinists, and Technicians.
• Operate forklift trucks and overhead cranes as required.
• Assist in machine troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
• Maintain all documentation in the maintenance program.
