Job summary

AUTOKINITON is seeking an Axis Engineering Tool & Die Maker to uphold our mission and contribute to high-precision fixtures and gauges. You will study blueprints, select materials, and operate tools to fabricate parts in a safety-conscious environment.

Responsibilities include repairing tool room equipment, applying algebra and geometry, and following safety and MIOSHA standards. A GED or high school diploma with related experience is required.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED required; or 3–5 years related experience and/or training.
• Journeyman’s card preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uphold the company’s mission, vision, values, and goals in all daily tasks.
• Maintain and upgrade fixtures and gauges.
• Study specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions and visualize product to determine materials and machines needed.
• Make decisions and judgments about repair and maintenance actions.
• Demonstrate short- and long-term decision making in tooling troubleshooting and problem diagnosis.
• Tool room repair and maintenance work and tooling timing.
• Operate machinery and equipment per MIOSHA standards and company procedures.
• Read and interpret safety rules and operating/maintenance instructions.
• Apply basic algebra and geometry to tasks and follow written or diagram instructions.
• Adhere to company policies and collaborate with supervisors and coworkers.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.
