Amsted Automotive in Sterling Heights is seeking Tool and Die Makers to troubleshoot, repair, and optimize dies used in metal stamping processes. You will operate tool room equipment, support press setup, and uphold safety standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualified candidates have 5 years in tool and die roles, with GD&T blueprint interpretation and CMM data reading skills. A high school diploma or GED is required, with some college acceptable.

Qualifications

• Must have 5 years in Metal Stamping, Prototype, Tool and Die Build or Die Repair Technician
• Experience with GD&T and blueprints to drive tooling accuracy
• Ability to read CMM data and adjust tooling to specs

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and optimize transfer and line dies.
• Operate tool room equipment with precision.
• Support press setup and efficiency to meet posted targets.
• Adhere to safety procedures and environmental standards.
• Apply root cause analysis to improve efficiency and quality.
• Overtime may be required to meet customer demand.
