Job summary

Martinrea, a diversified global automotive supplier, seeks a Tool & Die Maker to maintain and develop dies, tools, and tooling processes. You will build replacement tools, guide apprentices, and coordinate with design and production teams to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing.

Qualifications

Tool & Die Maker certificate or 8 years related experience.
Good English communication (oral & written).
Thorough knowledge of blueprint reading and interpretation.
Thorough knowledge of operating tool room and production equipment (grinding, milling, lathe).
Possess good mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
Knowledge of GD&T.
Excellent troubleshooting for dies and cutting tools is an asset.

Responsibilities

Develop dies, tools and processes as required.
Build replacement tools and dies for production use.
Provide guidance to Junior Tool & Die Makers and Apprentices.
Liaise with internal departments for design input and modifications to tools/dies.
Ensure timely completion of repairs, new dies, tooling, fixtures to avoid production interruption.
Perform preventative maintenance on tools and dies per schedules.
