Job summary

Rosco, Inc. seeks a skilled Tool and Die Maker to design, build, and maintain tooling, dies, jigs, and fixtures used in our manufacturing lines.

You will operate CNC and manual machines, perform precision measurements, and drive continuous improvement in tooling performance. Collaboration with engineering, production, and quality teams is essential to meet tight tolerances and production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Certification or apprenticeship in Tool and Die making or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Tool and Die Maker in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with CNC and manual machining.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD designs.
• Hands-on experience with precision measuring tools and equipment.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to work to tight tolerances.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and assemble tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures according to specifications and blueprints.
• Schedule and assign work, monitor progress.
• Operate CNC and manual machining equipment to fabricate components.
• Conduct precision measurements to ensure tools and dies meet tight tolerances.
• Ensure the proper functioning and longevity of tools and dies by implementing preventive maintenance programs.
• Review tooling designs and specifications to meet production requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tooling, ensuring minimal disruption to production schedules.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to optimize tooling for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Lead tooling improvement initiatives with engineering and quality teams.
• Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in tool and die manufacturing.
