Job summary

Bachman Machine Company is seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker for a full-time, on-site position in St. Louis, Missouri. You will build, fit, modify, troubleshoot, and repair progressive and transfer stamping dies and related production tooling.

You will read blueprints and engineering drawings, set up manual and CNC tools, and work with engineering and quality teams to improve tooling reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong precision machining and toolmaking skills including manual mills, lathes, grinders, and CNC equipment.
• Experience building, fitting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining progressive and transfer stamping dies.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T.
• Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges, and related inspection equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings; set up and operate manual and CNC tools.
• Build, fit, modify, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair progressive and transfer stamping dies and tooling.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality to improve tooling and manufacturability.
