Responsibilities

• Manufacture, repair, rebuild, and maintain precision tooling used in can-making operations.
• Polish and lap carbide and steel tooling surfaces to finish specifications.
• Set up and adjust bodymaker tooling, including punches and dies.
• Inspect tooling for wear, damage, and surface finish.
• Operate grinders, lathes, mills, polishers, and measuring instruments.
• Read engineering drawings and tolerance requirements.
• Measure tooling with micrometers, bore gauges, and indicators.
• Document repairs, measurements, and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance and engineering teams to optimize tooling performance.
• Maintain a clean and organized tool room.
