Job summary

Alkegen in Kansas is seeking a skilled machinist to maintain and repair machine shop tools, using machining operations and precision measuring instruments. You will work from blueprints, models and sketches to repair or modify tools, dies, jigs, gauges and molds.

Manufacturing experience a plus
Ability to read blueprints/models/sketches and repair tools

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair machine shop tools using machining operations and measuring instruments.
Work from blueprints, models and sketches to repair or modify tools, dies, jigs, gauges and molds.
Knowledge of manufacturing systems, steel fabrication, and welding processes.
Work effectively independently and in a team environment.
Troubleshoot manufacturing issues to maintain quality standards.
Accurately calculate dimensions and tolerances of tools.
Assist in general housekeeping of the department.
Adhere to all safety policies and maintain a safe work environment.
Perform other duties or special projects as required or assigned.
