Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Machine Maintenance Engineer for the Bastrop Tool and Die shop to lead maintenance of dies, CNC, EDM, grinders and related equipment. You own end-to-end equipment improvement projects and drive reliability to maximize die build throughput.

Candidates have a bachelor's in engineering and hands-on manufacturing experience; preferred are 2+ years in troubleshooting, knowledge of MRP/ERP, GD&T, and experience coordinating with contractors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• 1+ year of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment (internships and project work acceptable).

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance technicians to troubleshoot and resolve technically complex machine-tool failures.
• Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Develop and execute complex improvement projects to maximize machine availability in Tool and Die shop.
• Collaborate with tooling, manufacturing, and automation teams to build reliability into new equipment.
• Provide leadership for computerized maintenance management systems.
