Job summary

Amcor LLC in Evansville, IN seeks a tooling-focused technician to support safety and quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will operate manual machines and supervised CNC work, read blueprints, and use precision tools to record component dimensions.

You will also develop tooling knowledge, create CAD models with SolidWorks, manage CAD data, and assist with documentation and archiving for the Tooling Group. The role includes data entry and project reporting responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program in Business, Engineering or related field.
  • Able to work with basic Microsoft Office programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Operate manual machines and supervised CNC as needed.
  • Read blueprints and record dimensions with precision tools.
  • Maintain shop cleanliness and assist with general shop maintenance.
  • Develop understanding of machine setup and function.
  • Generate CAD models and detailed drawings for tooling.
  • Provide CAD data management and technical support for tooling.
  • Sort, archive, and manage documents for the Tooling Group.
  • Assist with data entry and project reporting on shipments and labour.
