Job summary

Simpson Strong-Tie Company Inc. seeks a Tool and Die Helper in Stockton, CA, to assist journeyman toolmakers and machinists in daily Tool Room duties. You will gain hands-on tooling knowledge and may transition into a Tool & Die Apprenticeship.

Responsibilities include organizing the shop, machine maintenance, die assembly, and light punch-press operations. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, some machine shop experience, and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

In this position, you will gain valuable knowledge of the tooling trade and, if successful and ready, transition into a Tool & Die Apprenticeship. **WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING**(% of Time)Support Shop operations through organization, cleaning, machine maintenance and supply/materials coordination. (40%) Machining of tooling components and related machine shop work and training (30%) Assist in building or modifying of progressive punch press dies. (20%) Operate punch presses when necessary if skilled in this area (10%) **DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**If you can do everything listed above, you’ve got what it takes.
