Job summary

Toyota Motor Manufacturing Mississippi is seeking a Stamping Tool & Die Group Leader to guide our teams with safety at the forefront and drive continuous improvement. You will mentor team members, manage die activities, and collaborate with cross-functional groups to resolve complex issues.

The role requires steering safety standards and developing talent across shifts. The position is based in Blue Springs, MS, with relocation considerations as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous Tool & Die experience at a Toyota facility.
• TL with >10 months service in the pool.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to develop and review technical documents related to die activities.
• Proficiency in creating and delivering presentations to diverse audiences.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with a diverse workforce.
• Advanced computer skills for daily reporting and problem visualization.
• Experience with Tool & Die surface leveling, chrome inspections, punch & trim repairs, and leveling.
• Driving is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage standards related to team member safety and professional growth.
• Ensure effective communication of Change-point Management across all shifts and sections within the Stamping Shop.
• Lead daily problem-solving efforts for Tool & Die issues while mentoring team members to develop these skills.
• Collaborate, communicate, and negotiate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex problems.
• Oversee team leader / team member training and development initiatives.
• Plan and prepare documentation for weekend and shutdown work activities.
• Track and analyze the “Top 3” Tool & Die problems, utilizing Toyota problem-solving methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
• Develop and present Stamping Tool & Die activities and progress reports to Senior Management.
• Lead die technology improvements aimed at enhancing Stamping Quality.
• Monitor and manage team member attendance & time entry.
