Toyota’s Stamping Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Stamping Tool & Die Group Leader to lead our teams while focusing on Safety, Skill Development and Team Member Happiness. The Stamping Tool & Die Group Leader plays a critical role in supporting Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost, and HRD functions within the Stamping Department through system development and leadership. This position primarily focuses on managing and developing the Stamping Tool & Die team leaders and team members, with safety as the top priority in all activities. Reporting to the Stamping Maintenance Manager, you will support the department’s objectives by driving shop FMDS activities to achieve annual goals aligned with the Shop Hoshin. This position is based at Blue Springs, MS. The selected candidate will be expected to reside within commutable distance of this location.
Develop and manage standards related to team member safety and professional growth. Ensure effective communication of Change-point Management across all shifts and sections within the Stamping Shop. Lead daily problem-solving efforts for Tool & Die issues while mentoring team members to develop these skills. Collaborate, communicate, and negotiate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex problems. Oversee team leader / team member training and development initiatives. Plan and prepare documentation for weekend and shutdown work activities. Track and analyze the “Top 3” Tool & Die problems, utilizing Toyota problem-solving methodologies to drive continuous improvement. Develop and present Stamping Tool & Die activities and progress reports to Senior Management. Lead die technology improvements aimed at enhancing Stamping Quality. Monitor and manage team member attendance & time entry.
