Job summary

Chipton-Ross Inc. is seeking a Tool Design Engineer 3 in Palmdale, CA to support our tool design department. The role requires CATIA design experience, 3D CAD proficiency and GD&T application to drawings. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, accredited institution.
• 6+ years Catia design experience with 3D modeling.
• Experience with CATIA v5 and 3D CAD.
• PE certificate and ability to perform and stamp stress analysis.
• GD&T experience and ability to apply GD&T to drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design industrial machinery, tools, dies, gauges, jigs and fixtures.
• Develop drawings and tolerance analyses from sketches and references.
• Support tool design department and coordinate with local team.
• Participate in supplier and customer meetings to discuss needs.
