Job summary

Acutecprecision in Pennsylvania is seeking a Tool & Cutter Grinder who will work in the Tool Grind Department, operating CNC grinding equipment to manufacture precision cutting tools. Responsibilities include operating a five-axis grinder and using inspection equipment.

Job description

Position: Tool & Cutter Grinder You will work in our Tool Grind Department, operating CNC grinding equipment and creating precision cutting tools used across aerospace, defense, automotive, and power generation industries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate a five‑axis tool and cutter grinder machine (ANCA) to manufacture cutting tools.
• Use inspection equipment to measure cutting tools.
• Laser mark etch tool information on each tool.
• Communicate with team lead and/or management on missing or required materials and tools.

Key Roles

• Adjust program and grinding process to maximize quality and efficiency and perform complex setups with minimal direction and supervision.
• Work to high standards and contribute to continuous improvement; communicate issues to team leader in a timely manner and effectively leave notes for the next shift.
• Assist in maintaining the department’s equipment and preventive maintenance.

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years in manufacturing (recommended)
• 1+ years operating CNC equipment (recommended)
• Experience in grinding and using grinding equipment (recommended)
• Blueprint reading and understanding of GD&T is preferred; training can be provided
• Basic computer proficiency

• ANCA experience (preferred)
• 1+ years tool grinding experience (preferred)
• Basic knowledge of cutting tool geometry (preferred)
• SolidWorks or similar CAD software (preferred)
• Precision inspection equipment (preferred)
