Job summary

Linacast, Inc. is seeking an Inventory and Materials Clerk to manage inventory, materials, and tooling within the production environment, ensuring efficient receiving, storage, and issuance to support manufacturing processes.

The role requires High School diploma and 1–3 years in a high-volume, precision machining setting, with basic math and computer skills. You will work 40 hours weekly with potential overtime and uphold Linacast’s safety and 5S standards.

Responsibilities

  • Issue tools and materials to production staff or production lines based on work orders, requisitions, or schedules.
  • Perform regular physical inventories, cycle counts, and audits to reconcile stock levels and identify discrepancies.
  • Loading/unloading materials.
  • Update inventory systems.
  • Perform physical counts.
  • Proficiency in using computers and inventory management software.
  • Record inventory transactions in computer systems or manual logs to ensure accurate inventory levels.
  • Receive, check, inspect, sort, and store incoming raw materials, tools, and supplies, comparing them against packing slips and purchase orders
  • Distribute monthly usage reports.
  • Complies with OSHA Safety Standards: Lockout/Tagout, use of proper PPE, Hazard Communication and Ergonomics.
  • Maintains all work areas in a safe and orderly fashion according to plant standards.
  • Maintain continuity between all shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping following the 5-S Cleaning System. (Sort-Set in Order-Shine-Standardize-Sustain.)
  • Other duties as assigned.

Academic/Educational Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.

1-3 years’ experience in a high volume, precision machining environment

Working Conditions

40 hours per week-overtime when required due to customer demands
