Aerotek is seeking a Tool Room Specialist / Inventory Specialist to pre-stage tools, maintain an organized tool crib, and support production operations on site in Middle River, MD. You will manage inventory, assist machinists, and ensure tools are available and properly tracked.

The role emphasizes 5S, continuous improvement, and collaboration with the production team to optimize tool availability and procurement. This is a contract-to-hire, onsite position with weekday hours.

Qualifications

• Hands-on tool crib and inventory management experience.
• Strong knowledge of 5S and continuous improvement.
• Ability to read tooling drawings and measure with calipers/micrometers.
• Vendor coordination for ordering, returns, and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Pre-stage machine tools and related equipment for daily production.
• Assist machinists and CNC operators in locating and returning tools.
• Provide technical support to minimize downtime on tool-related issues.
• Etch and shadow tools for clear identification and storage.
• Inspect tools with precision measuring instruments and report wear/damage.
